Prior to each state and national elections, the League of Women Voters of Ohio Education Fund provides nonpartisan information on candidates and issues to its local Leagues. This information is used in Voter Guides, which are distributed by many local Leagues throughout the state.

The  League of Women Voters of Ohio Education Fund requests that candidates for the 2010 General Election complete and submit  the enclosed questionnaire by August 13, 2010. You may email your answers to our Office Manager at lwvoinfo@lwvohio.org, but we do ask for a signed the completed questionnaire to be sent to the League of Women Voters’ office by the August 13, deadline. You can download a copy of the form from this page.  Please click on the link for the office for which you have filed.    Only those candidates which have filed with the appropriate election officials will be included in the Voter Guide.

Since the League will not alter, edit, correct, or evaluate any candidate’s reply, each candidate is solely responsible for the truth of his or her statements. Please take careful note of the word limitations listed on the questionnaire, since replies will be deleted after the word limit has been reached.

The League of Women Voters, founded in 1920, is a non-partisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. A candidate’s answers are accepted and printed only with the understanding that the material will not be used in any way that may be deemed to be an endorsement by the League of his or her candidacy or views.
